Being a Gemini

To celebrate my birthday today, I’m sharing some of my personal reflections on being a Gemini.

I have always felt I was the paradoxial Gemini… some traditional traits I had, others not so much if at all. Gemini’s are known to be communicative and I am - in some ways. Put me in a crowded room, and I freeze however. I have always been terribly shy and have NEVER been the life of the party!

I’m am more outgoing in a more intimate environment. I will talk the ears off of close friends and can be downright excitable and goofy. I also have a natural gift for sarcasm, but I also know when to use it at the right time.

The written word was also important to me. My teenage woes were documented through poems and lyrics, although I could never discipline myself to write a daily journal. There had to be emotion and feeling to unlock the creativity and put thought to paper.

I am highly creative, but unfocused. I tend to move from subject to subject or from project to project with lightning speed. I can not master one thing, but I’m very good with alot of things. My interests have always been spread wide and far. My childhood ambitions spanned from being an opera singer to a fighter pilot.

I think being a Gemini helped immensely in highschool… I could go from one clique to the next and be welcomed by all. It was always easy to listen to and understand two sides of an argument and I was often called to be a peacekeeper among my friends.

I think my biggest drawback to being a Gemini is wanting to do everything! And if I see someone do something, I convince myself that I can do it better. This leads to alot of creative thinking and ideas but since it all moves so fast, I can barely catch my breath long enough to bring it to form!
